Dogs, while coined as the "man's best friend," are actually almost always at the receiving end of mistreatments coming from humans. While a lot of people and their families do consider their dogs as their legitimate kids, there are still a lot of cruel pet owners out there who literally have no care what happens to their dogs when they leave them alone by themselves.
Case in point: leaving them in a car on a hot day without any air-conditioning. It's already a given thing that caring for a dog requires you to have optimum responsibility for their safety, but unfortunately, a lot of people seem to adopt dogs only for mere decoration and leave them in certain situations such as this one.
No matter how many infographics or seminars or Facebook posts they may come across, every lesson seems to just go way over their heads and they still continue to inflict certain questionable practices that only make their pets suffer more. So, to make things more clear, a certain officer from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) decided to demonstrate how it would feel for a dog to be left alone in a car on a hot day by—yes, leaving himself alone in a car on a hot day.
A lot of pet owners often forget that summertime can be particularly uncomfortable for their fur babies, so they pretty much neglect any kind of warning they need to be mindful of when taking care of their pets at this certain time.
Robert Howie (not the actual photo)So, a certain RSPCA officer decided to show people how it feels to be trapped in a car on hot days.
rspca_officialHe started with the car at just about 23°C (or 73 Fahrenheit), and he said that he was going to update the temperature regularly as minutes pass by.
It was only after five minutes when the car has become unbearably hot.
The camera had a slight malfunction because of the heat. The temperature went up from 23°C to 35 °C.
rspca_officialAfter ten minutes, his breathing started to get heavier.
The temperature has reached 43.6 °C in a span of just over ten minutes.
Fifteen minutes in, and the car has become so hot it felt like an oven. Imagine what could that do to a helpless dog who doesn't know how to get out of a vehicle?
rspca_officialHe continued to endure the rising temperature, just to truly show the danger of leaving your poor dog like that in the car.
In just about 25 minutes, the temperature has came from 23.3°C to 57.1°C. We're feeling the heat from here!
You can just imagine hot it was in there...
rspca_officialRemember, make sure to call 999 when you see a dog left alone in a car on a hot day. It could save their life!

We just hope people would finally cooperate with organizations like the RSPCA.
It's turning a lot of wheels in people's minds, too.
Their safety must be a priority!
Poor, poor dogs.
It's heartbreaking to think of them panicking inside.
We need more people like Chloe here!
Mass distribution of this very informative video would be truly ideal.
A lot of people often forget that dogs aren't humans.
Take that!
If you know any pet owner that still needs convincing regarding why they should never leave their dogs in their car, show this article or share the video with them. What's tragic is that many people don't even realize what could happen—unless they are actually shown with proof!
