Dogs are just different. As they say, when you get one, your life changes forever.
They're just such loving and sweet creatures that when one enters your life, they won't leave without taking your heart with them or without leaving this big heart-shaped mark in you. They're not just pets, they're family.
Once you earn the trust of a dog, you'll always have a bud who wants to stay beside you and who is always ready to try and make you smile in whatever way they can. You'll also always have someone who will be with you in your lowest of lows and highest of highs.
Take care of them well and they'll never leave your side. That's why when people lose a dog, the pain they feel is just incomparable.
It's not easy to explain at all. Some people even go the extra mile just trying to look for their dog and some can even spend years never giving up hope in looking for their pup.
While some people aren't reunited, others are lucky enough to get another chance at having their furry pal by their sides like our story for today. This adorable pup named Cow was found tied to a fence outside the Louisiana SPCA where staff found him in the early morning.
He was then taken into the shelter but right before he found a new family to adopt him, the shelter found something better. Read on for the full story.
Cow was found alone tied up to this fence
DAVID ROBICHAUX“He was very fearful and would low growl when meeting new people,” NeNe Lewis of the Louisiana SPCA said. “When he was given treats and people would ‘baby talk’ [to] him, he would stop. Since he was found tied to our fence, it makes his reaction common.”
At first he wasn't sure but soon he relaxed at the shelter
DAVID ROBICHAUXAt the beginning, Cow was pretty scared but as time passed by, he soon began to relax in his life at the shelter. He had been there for two months already and staff members were already looking for a new family to adopt him but they found something way better - the family he lost.
The shelter found out that there was a family looking for Cow
DAVID ROBICHAUXIn March, the shelter found out that there was actually a family out there looking for Cow. Apparently, the pup had been stolen from them and ended up at the shelter.
When the family heard he was at the shelter, they were beyond thrilled.
By that point, Cow had already gotten used to the people at the shelter and was sweet and friendly with everybody but when he saw his mom again, there was just a different kind of happiness about him that nobody at the shelter had ever seen before.
“Cow was so excited to see his family,” Lewis said. “He was jumping off the walls and his tail was wagging like we’d never seen it before! You could tell from his reaction when he saw his mom that he was reunited with his family!”
As soon as he saw his mom, Cow couldn't help himself and just leapt into her arms melting into a wiggling ball of cuddles and kisses. It was obvious to everyone watching that he was back with his family and everyone at the shelter was thrilled they were able to make the reunion happen.
Cow is back with his people
DAVID ROBICHAUXCow had been apart from his family for many months but when he saw them, it was like no time at all has passed. Now, he's back where he belongs.
Losing a dog the way Cow's family did is not easy. If it were us, we would also go to the ends of the Earth looking for our pup because that pup is family.
Fortunately, the shelter found his family just in time before they got separated forever. Hopefully, the family can also up their security so Cow doesn't get stolen again because that dog is just precious and priceless.
