Shelter Dog Has The Best Reaction After Getting Reunited With Family He Lost
Cow’s reunion story has all the makings of a feel-good shelter moment, but it starts with a rough one. The Louisiana SPCA found the dog tied to a fence, scared and unsure, before staff slowly helped him settle in.
For two months, Cow waited at the shelter while workers looked for a new home. Then they learned something better, his original family had been searching for him after he was stolen, and the reunion changed everything.
By the time Cow saw his mom again, the shelter had already seen his sweet side. They just had not seen this side of him yet. Read on.

Cow was frightened at first, and the shelter had to take things slowly.
At first he wasn't sure but soon he relaxed at the shelter
At the beginning, Cow was pretty scared, but as time passed, he soon began to relax in his life at the shelter. He had been there for two months already, and staff members were looking for a new family to adopt him, but they found something much better, the family he lost.
The shelter found out that there was a family looking for Cow
In March, the shelter discovered that there was actually a family out there looking for Cow. Apparently, the pup had been stolen from them and ended up at the shelter.
When the family heard he was at the shelter, they were beyond thrilled.
By that point, Cow had already gotten used to the people at the shelter and was sweet and friendly with everybody, but when he saw his mom again, there was just a different kind of happiness about him that nobody at the shelter had ever seen before.
It’s the same kind of turnaround as the formerly fearful dog who finally accepted affectionate caresses.
Cow was so excited to see his family, Lewis said. He was jumping off the walls, and his tail was wagging like we’d never seen it before! You could tell from his reaction when he saw his mom that he was reunited with his family!
As soon as he saw his mom, Cow couldn't help himself and leapt into her arms, melting into a wiggling ball of cuddles and kisses. It was obvious to everyone watching that he was back with his family, and everyone at the shelter was thrilled they were able to make the reunion happen.
Cow is back with his people
Cow had been apart from his family for many months, but when he saw them, it was as if no time at all had passed. Now, he's back where he belongs.
Losing a dog the way Cow's family did is not easy. If it were us, we would also go to the ends of the Earth looking for our pup because that pup is family.
Fortunately, the shelter found his family just in time before they could have been separated forever. Hopefully, the family can also improve their security so Cow doesn't get stolen again because that dog is just precious and priceless.
