Pet Owner Purchases Land With A Cabin To Serve As A Retirement Home For His Long-Time Dog Companion
There are dogs who find their homes even before they can walk or run, but there are some that wouldn't know what a home truly is until they find the right owner. They are sources of happiness and inspiration if you love them enough.
The story of Lorenzo and Myles has been a long journey that transformed into a wonderful companionship. Lorenzo used to go to the park back when he lived in the city and was much younger—13 years younger, to be exact.
The local shelter would walk the dogs every Friday. One fateful day, Myles was out with the other dogs, walking.
Lorenzo saw him and noticed the way Myles' ears perked up, and that's when he decided that he wanted to take Myles home. He knew that Myles had chosen him.
Through the years, they became closer—best friends, to be exact. Lorenzo found activities that they could do together; these included outdoor fun like hiking, swimming, and going for walks.
It wasn't limited to the world outside; Myles was also known to love napping beside Lorenzo and simply playing with his toys. You would always get the impression that Myles was a happy dog and was very well taken care of.

He's a nature kind of guy. Both of them are.

As Myles got older, certain illnesses appeared and took a toll on his body, such as cataracts, arthritis, and the worst one—heart failure. Being the happy dog that Myles was, his spirit didn't break; he merely needed to adjust to his new life with the help of Lorenzo.
Lorenzo had always thought about retiring Myles to the woods on land that he would buy. He figured that by his mid-30s, he would work something out to make Myles' life easier, and the pandemic really put a focus on that.
Lorenzo soon bought land and moved to a much simpler life with Myles and his two cats, Tofu and Mama. The land came with a cabin, and he aptly named it 'Camp Myles' in honor of the happy dog.

Lorenzo embraced the cabin life with his small family and even built parts of the cabin. They all appreciated the peace that surrounded them without the bustle of the city.
Myles has a new space to roam around and relax, especially on their porch or the deck. The new cabin life gave Myles a fresh area to continue his life with his dad and family by his side.
