Disney's Original 'Halloweentown' Truly Does Exist, And Yes, You Can Even Go For A Visit

Please tell me you've seen Halloweentown...

If you haven't, stop reading this right now and find it on the Disney+ app.

Then come back here and read this!

Halloweentown is an original Disney channel movie that was made in 1997.

It gained attention almost instantly, and after three feature length sequels, had quite the following built.

However, fans of the original and sequels were hoping for something more after all these years.

And then there became "Spirit Of Halloweentown", an annual festival that runs all month long in, you guessed it, October.

It's located in St. Helens, Oregon which is where the original movie was filmed.

On October 1st, you can find the whole town decorated entirely after the original movie, which (I know you went and watched it before continuing on, right?) of course features the giant pumpkin. They even have a lighting ceremony to add to the Halloweentown ambience.

All the fall colors, the scarecrows, people turned witches, ghosts, fairies, and ghouls.

Their motto seems to be, "We love Halloween and we let it show."

There are several free attractions at the festival, which includes a self-guided walking tour with maps to guide your way. A Scarecrow Trail, and The Museum Of Peculiarities and Oddities.

I WANT TO GO TO THIS SO BAD.

As a 90's baby. Halloweentown was one of the highlights to Halloween season approaching. Along with the famous Sanderson sisters of course. So excuse my fan-girling over here, but,

ALL THE YES!

Behold, the original movie. Halloweentown.

Behold, the original movie. Halloweentown.

Oh you thought I was done? Nope!

Since it's a month long festival, use your imagination as to what they have planned for events.

In the past they've included:

-A masquerade ball.

-Photo ops with Benny the skeleton cab driver.

-Gothic dance parties.

-And selected meetups like, Buffy The Vampire Slayer stars Nicholas Brendon and Emma Caulfield.

If you're a Halloweentown original fan, or simply just a Halloween raver in general, you simply cannot risk missing out on this!

They also hold a Halloween parade, and of course a haunted house.

The town and it's efforts is so much more than just the captivating attractions though, there's delicious food (Halloween style of course), everyone's Halloween favorites; caramel apples, homemade cakes and pies, nachos, chili, chowder, and your run-of-the-mill Halloween candy too.
