Many people have misconceptions about the range of emotions dogs can feel and we only know so much. But science has determined dogs do feel a variety of emotions!
This is an adorable dog named Murphy and his owner Luis Chacón. The dog and dude duo live in Spain, where the whole nation went on total lockdown in effort to contain the COVID19 pandemic.
Fortunately, the pup had been mostly untouched by the new regulations — for him and many delighted dogs, it meant more time with his owner at home. But recently, Murphy learned the hard way that he would have to make some sacrifices too.
Murphy and Chacón's apartment is next to a park, and that's the dog's favored spot to play and run. "We visit it almost daily," Chacón said.
The two can still go out on walks and get some fresh air and exercise, but because of the state of emergency, the park is closed until further notice. A massive closed gate and locks made the sweet dog so disappointed and confused, that it's heartbreaking.
Just a dog dad and his dog
Luis Chacón"He thought it was very strange that we weren't going in," Chacón says. "It was like a learning moment."
After a few seconds of moaning, Murphy got the message – pets too have to make sacrifices in the battle against the virus.
But we guess more time at home with the owner will compensate him more than enough.
We all hope that the situation all around the world will get better and all similar bans will be lifted, for the sake of the people and their pets too.
