Man Messes Up Bad When He Finds Cutest Bird And Ends Up Smearing Its Guts All Over The Place
It's not so rare that a bird would crash into something midflight. For some reason, it's as if not all birds have developed a great sense of evasion when it comes to walls, windows, and things like that.
And to us humans, it can be pretty shocking to see them just crashing about. Plus, it's a sight that nobody really wants to see.
When it happens though, birds don't usually die right away from the impact because they're sturdier than that. They can get dizzy, look a little concussed, freeze up, or simply look like they're catching a breath but they don't die in a snap.
Unfortunately, not everyone knows that fact. Sometimes, people assume that the bird is just too far gone or has had too serious injuries so some people try and do the kind thing which is giving it a quick death.
Sometimes though, that doesn't go as planned just like Redditor festess' experience. He thought the adorable bird that crashed into his window was as good as gone but when he went to deliver the final blow, the bird did a little resurrection trick and from that, disaster after disaster ensued.
Read on and find out what happened.
OP admits:

OP and his gf thought it was just a little funny accident

They thought the bird was okay but maybe not

The bird looked like it was on the edge of life so OP decided to do the kind thing and put it out of its misery

OP also wanted to be the man of the home

With grim determination, OP set out to do the deed

But things go horribly wrong

From one disaster to the next and then it's over

We don't know about you but this had us rolling on the floor. We know there's a dead bird and a murder was committed but man, this guy can tell a story.
We don't even feel bad for laughing so much at the expense of the poor bird. It's easy to understand how in the world he got there though.
He just wanted to do right by the bird and not let its suffering go on and on. Unfortunately, the bird just had a slight concussion.
OP wasn't sure of that. We wouldn't be too.
As it seems, people in the comments section completely understand too. Here are the best comments.
1. Live and learn. Poke it with a stick first.

2. It's always better to wait a little bit longer with bird accidents like these

3. To die for

4. The guy knows how to tell a story

5. He's probably the farthest he could get from sorry seeing he's the one who spilled his guts (literally)

6. At least OP tried to do the right thing. That's what matters right?

7. Not bad at all but it isn't a pleasant picture

8. It could be part of an episode

9. It would be a lot darker if Zack Snyder told the story

10. Stanley might've been a brave soul but not a fast one

11. A bird story to die for

12. Everyone sadly suffered something here

13. When you want to feel sad or horrified but you can't help but laugh at the story

14. What they went through was traumatic

15. Do we feel guilty? Yes. Is it still funny? Absolutely.

16. Now, this is an excellent idea

17. Maybe that instinct hasn't developed in OP yet

18. He had a real knack for disaster

19. This is why they need a little bit more help sometimes

20. That is indeed the perfect image and its priceless

That whole ordeal is just traumatic. But at least now, OP knows to poke the bird first or wait a little bit longer before deciding to go in for the kill.
Hopefully, next time, he'll remember that so Stanley's death would not be in vain. The poor bird just got a second chance at life only to suffer a worse death.
Anyway, we hope OP and his girlfriend have recovered from this. And hopefully, no other bird spilled its guts at their hands.
