Let's face facts, folks: millennials are grown ups with kids of their own now. We've started families and are raising kids and honestly, it shouldn't be to unexpected that in doing so we are breaking all sorts of societal norms and busting through previous precedents to create our own versions of happily ever after.
Previous generations had a tendency to raise stiff children with an emphasis on rules and regulations, maintaining social norms, and stifiling creativity and play. Millennials, on the other hand, are having none of it and we are all about doing things our own way and that definitely means taking the culture of our adolescence and adorning it all over our families.
Case in point? Ben Norman, a father who built his kids the ultimate horror-themed haunted playhouse.
Yep, you read that correctly.
Ben NormanNorman went all in and built it completely from scratch.
Ben NormanOver the course of 6 months, Ben built the playhouse in his spare time.
The eerie but somehow adorable playhouse features strobe lights and a red-eyed skeleton as well as it's own graveyard and fireplace.
Ben NormanBen also included sound effects to really bring the creative element home.
Ben NormanThe absolute best part, though, is that he recorded his creation to share with the world.
What child today wouldn't want their very own haunted house?
