Cat Saved From A Rescue Shelter Is Called Crazy Eyes Olive Because Of Her Unique Eye Condition

Olive had it rough as a kitten, but now she has a loving human who is very proud of her.

Tabby cats are the most common domestic cats, and it is no wonder. Lovable and friendly (as much as a cat can be), they are part of many households around the world.

Their kind nature is surprising if you take a closer look at their direct ancestors, with whom they share coat patterns: African Wild Cat, European Wild cat, and Asiatic Wild Cat.

Yeah, all of them wild cats. But not tabby. They are so sweet and playful. And not lethal.

One particular tabby, Crazy Eyes Olive, had it rough, she didn’t have a smooth start, but now she has a loving human beside her, and she likes to post her cast’s pictures online. When you see them, you will understand why.

Everyone, meet the sweetest tabby, Crazy Eyes Olive:

Her owner, Michelle Traynor, says that Olive is lucky to be alive: “Olive was alone and covered in tree sap and very sick when she was found. After a lot of baths and medication, she was finally well enough to come live with me.”

She is so cute, and apparently a lot of people think so.

Her Instagram profile reveals that Olive likes to take naps, and when she’s not posing for the photos, she lives an active life.

The first question that pops into everybody’s mind is her ability to see, and the owner answers that the cat can see quite well, considering the circumstances: 

“Despite her eyes, she can see well, but she does have a bit of an underdeveloped jaw which causes her overbite. She can be shy, but loves to burrow under blankets.”
