One Ex-Boyfriend's Crazy Spreadsheet With List Of Expences Makes It To TikTok, And It Goes Viral

Maddy, a 26-year-old Canadian, recently made headlines when she revealed on TikTok that her ex-boyfriend had created a spreadsheet of her expenses. He sent her a monthly Excel document that listed all the things he had paid for, even down to a breakfast of a banana and one slice of bread, which cost $3.23.

Each month, the spreadsheet showed what she had to reimburse him for, which was the first sign of his craziness. Now, relationships can be complicated, even in the best of circumstances.

When two people come together, they bring a unique set of expectations, habits, communication styles, and personalities to the mix. Navigating these differences can be challenging, and it's not uncommon for couples to struggle to find common ground.

When this happens, it can lead to conflict and tension, ultimately putting a strain on the relationship. Breakups can be even more complicated, as they can involve a wide range of emotions and complications.

In addition to the pain of ending the relationship, breakups often involve disappointment, guilt, anger, and a sense of loss. On top of that, there may be confusion about who should keep what possessions and who should be responsible for what bills.

These issues can make it difficult to move on from the relationship, leading to a prolonged period of sadness and grief. And these emotions can lead to crazy actions.

While tracking expenses is fine and normal - billing your significant other is absolutely crazy. The ex had created a spreadsheet that itemized all the expenses he had paid for and expected cash back from Maddy, as well as expenses they had shared that he wanted to split.

Despite this being a rather obsessive behavior, Maddy had not seen it as a "big red flag" during the relationship, instead simply remarking that it "didn't bother her much." Read more below:

People were perplexed by this. One person wrote, “the fact you were okay getting a bill in spreadsheet format from your bf?”

Others shared similar experiences. “Dated a guy in college that made me PRE PAY HIM for gas for a road trip to visit HIS FAMILY, and then I found out his mom sent him money for me,” said another person.

Another wrote, “I accidentally underpaid rent every month by $2 somehow (for like a year) to him, and my ex BILLED ME while we were still together.” Yikes.

And then we got the not all men: “Girl, men are not weird w money. THAT man was. Should have left him as soon as he started charging you back for stuff.”

Dating is really hard. there are a lot of weird people out there, so we should all look out for red flags.
