It's kind of a mind-boggling thing that we now live in a world that is finally slowly accepting people that do not conform to the norms that have been laid out for us even way before we're born. With the newer generations finally making their way up into the consumer threshold, it is evident that the majority of this cohort are opting to go to the child-free route.
The raging economic changes that our society has been experiencing for the past two decades, pushed most Millenials to convince themselves that having kids is not worth it at this time. We grew up under the societal standards that we need to have families by the age of 30, but given the status of our economy these days, people of age have started to put their foot down.
With that said, not a lot of people agree with this mindset, even if the most grown-up thing to do is to respect each other's choices. However, there are far more people who actually agree with this than you would expect.
The ever-growing online communities in Reddit are one of the safe places to discuss these kinds of things, and topics regarding child-free lifestyles fall into the r/childfree subreddit which currently has over 1.4 million members. And when you are on a Reddit community, you can expect a shed-load of memes and jokes for every topic there is, including this one!
