Sometimes all it takes is a change of perspective to bring you back to earth. This is something I learned in motherhood.

I remember when my daughter was a toddler, she was SUCH hard work. Some days I would literally STARE at the clock until bedtime just so I could get a break.

Then someone told me something that seriously changed my perspective. "The days are long, but the years are short".

That's all I needed to hear. She still tested me and drove me nuts some days, but I realised that this wasn't forever.
