Deciding to adopt a pet isn't easy, and it's certainly not a decision that should be made lightly. It's a huge responsibility and a serious commitment. But one thing is for sure; it's an extremely rewarding one!

Adoption can be a particularly difficult process when the pet you decide to rescue has been severely neglected or mistreated, like the precious cats in this story.

Subreddit thread, r/BeforeNAfterAdoption, is filled with heartwarming stories from kind humans who have adopted felines in desperate need of care and given them a second chance at life and love. The before and after photos are incredible and show just how much a little bit of love and care can do to change the life of a creature in need.
