Cats aren't usually known for forming unlikely friendship, unless you consider that some cats like dogs is unlikely? There are some friendship dynamics that seem strange, yet still work anyway.

Cats and lizards are definitely an unlikely friendship combination. Lizards and cats almost seem to be polar opposites, and seem like they would be natural enemies?

I'd certainly expect a cat to more likely hunt a lizard than become besties with it. Perhaps cats like to scratch themselves on the lizard’s spines, while the lizards like to cuddle up to the cat for some warmth... I mean, I’ll scratch your back if you warm me up, right?
