Around here, we know good and well that cats love catnip. Nepeta cataria (AKA catnip) is a plant that makes cats exhibit some pretty weird behaviors.
Cats love to rub their heads and bodies on it or jump and roll around it. However, this "high" only last lasts for about 10 minutes then the cat becomes immune to its effects for around 30 minutes.
Instagram user turniptowers has a cat named Melchett who absolutely adores catnip, his neighborhood buddies also love it so they come around from time to time to "borrow" some. Melchett also has a sibling named Gertrude that only has one eye due to some medical problems.
Melchett and neighborhood cats Benji, Tommy, and Bob always have the best reactions whenever they're on catnip, and turniptowers loves to photograph them because she thinks that cats, in general, are "fascinating to photograph".
