It takes a cat to get people interested in weather they can't go out and enjoy!

To be completely honest, in this completely bizarre time, the only thing keeping me sane is cute stories of cats working from home. It really is the little things that bring the most joy, right?
But while many of us can hide our cats on our laps out of frame in a Zoom call, sometimes cats demand to be centre stage. Actually, come to think of it, that's not very surprising considering cats and their kitty cat nature.
When I attend online classes, for example, sometimes my cat has no interest in showing up, but others, she can’t get enough of it. Typical cat.
This weatherman has a very public occupation and, while working from his dining room, his cat decided she wanted to be a part of it.
Meteorologist Jeff Lyons has recently gone viral once his cat started crashing his weather forecasts!
Before Lyons' station were completely social distancing, he got a glimpse into what working from home with his cat, Betty, would be like.
In a conversation with Bored Panda, Lyons said:
“Working from home has been an adventure. I have my studio and green screen set up in the dining room. It’s nice to have a 30-second commute after the late news!"
“Betty was under the dining room table during one weathercast, and the director asked to see her, so I held her up for the camera. We just had the final 30-second weather to do, so I kept her in my arms just for fun…little did I know !”

And this is Betty taking centre stage!
Jeff Lyons (via Bored Panda)“Betty just showed up on our windowsill about 11 years ago. My daughter, who was 10 at the time, begged to keep her. I had always had cats growing up, so it was an easy sell, plus, I’m a softie!”
Betty came back for another appearance....
But was less happy this time!
Just look at her!
Betty the Weather Cat has even started doing her own forecasts!
But she doesn't love ALL her fans!
On going viral, Lyons said:
“The outpouring for this silly cat has been crazy! I’ve spent 34 years in local TV as a meteorologist, so I am used to being known around this area (southern Indiana), but this is something that has really thrown me for a loop!”
