Chubby Cat From Russia Adores Playing In Snow
This charming cat from Russia has had a really difficult past. The kitty was living on the streets, struggling to find food and shelter from the elements.
“We found him near the entrance to our house,” the cat’s humans say. “He looked like he was a house cat who didn’t know how to survive outside—he would just sit in one place for long periods of time.”
The family tried to find the cat’s owners, but no one responded to their ads. They decided to take the cat in. “We named him Ginger because we already have a black cat whom we call Mr. Black.” The two immediately became best friends.
Just what you would expect from a black cat named Mr. Black and a ginger cat named Ginger!

Even though Ginger is now living in a warm and cozy home, it’s evident that his past has made him tough. He likes to spend time in the backyard, playing in the snow and exploring his surroundings.

“He is super cute. He loves to be with his people, and I think he knows how to enjoy life because it looks like he savors every moment.”
Ginger’s owners said he likes to stay at home, but he also enjoys going outside from time to time. “Snow is not a problem for him; Ginger likes to explore the outdoors in winter too. He even plays with the snow. However, it usually doesn’t last very long, and he runs back home.”

Ginger’s owner also says he is a bit of a troll. “When he is patrolling his territory, he likes to tease neighboring cats and dogs. For example, he sits in front of the fence and just stares at a dog that is barking at him.”
He enjoys spending time outside in the summer as well. Since his owners are often in the garden when the weather is nice, he pops in to check on them.
