We all love hugs and kisses - they make us feel all warm, loved and safe. And, just like us, animals enjoy sharing hugs and kisses too.

Our pets love to give us cuddles, but they also like to snuggle each other. Dogs and cats, in particular, can often be seen showing affection to one another with cuddles, head bumps, and grooming.

Cats hug as a way to show affection and trust. It's an excuse for them to be as close as possible to you, and it makes them feel safe and protected - as long as it's on their terms, of course.

"Meesha and Bella have realized they are a team. Don’t get me wrong, they still chase, pounce and harass each other, but they also sleep together now! In this video, they’re sleeping on top of my desk," says their owner.

"It’s their favorite daytime place to sleep. Since I’m working at my desk during the day they’re guaranteed to get extra hugs and kisses while they nap."
