Cat Is Left Alone With A Camera For 30 Minutes And The Resulting Video Is Honestly Heart-Wrenching
I’ve often wondered what my cats do all day when I go out. I kind of assumed the cats just go about their business and engage in their cat hobbies: sleeping, eating, and wreaking havoc on my house (ahem, their house; the cats own it, right?)
However, I’ve never actually decided to find out, and after watching this video of this cat, I’m too afraid to! It’s super cute how much cats truly love us, yet it’s also very, very sad.
Given how much extra time most of us are spending at home, and subsequently, how much extra attention our cats are receiving, I am very concerned about returning to normal. Will our poor cats be able to adjust to receiving less attention?
The heartbreaking video was posted on Reddit.
The poor cat is so sad when he can't find his owner!

Isola seems heartbroken!

In the comments of the Reddit post, Ida explains that she does have another cat; they were just at the vet!
Clearly, Isola missed his brother too!

Just look at the two cats reunited!

"Pets often form deep bonds with each other, and their behavior can reflect that connection. It's not uncommon for them to express feelings of loss or loneliness when separated from their companions."
"The emotional landscape of animals can be complex, and their reactions can sometimes mirror our own feelings of attachment and separation."
Cats love humans so much!
Dr. Terri Orbuch, relationship researcher:
"Pets often express their emotions in ways that resonate deeply with us. When left alone, they can feel a sense of abandonment, similar to how we might feel when separated from loved ones. It's important to recognize these feelings and provide comfort."
This is so cute!!
Dr. Lawrence Cohen, child psychologist
"Many pets, especially cats, can experience separation anxiety. Using a baby monitor allows owners to reassure their pets, which can help them feel more secure when left alone," says Dr. Cohen. "It's a great way to maintain that connection and comfort."
Meanwhile, other people recounted when their cats brought in "treats"
```html"Cats often exhibit behaviors that reflect their instincts and social dynamics with humans. When they bring toys or 'presents' to their owners, it's a sign of affection and a way to share their hunting success, which can be quite humorous!"
"When a cat interacts with its owner by presenting a toy, it’s not just play; it’s a form of communication. They are expressing their need for engagement and reinforcing their bond with you."
"The joy and pride cats display when they 'hunt' their toys can be a delightful reminder of their natural instincts, and it highlights the importance of play in their emotional well-being."```
Hewo?
"Pets often experience separation anxiety, and their vocalizations can be a reflection of their distress. It's heartbreaking to hear them call out for their owners, as it shows their emotional attachment and need for companionship."
So sad!
"Pets can provide emotional support and companionship, and observing their behavior can reveal how much they miss us when we're away. It's important to recognize these bonds and the impact they have on our well-being," says Dr. Orbuch, a relationship researcher and author.
