This is honestly the cutest story ever

It turns out kids and cats have more emotionally in common than a lot of humans have given them credit for. Take for example, the relationship many young children have with a special toy.
Young children often have something that acts as a security blanket, be it teddy, pillow, or literally a blanket, that goes everywhere and anywhere with the child. This often leads to dirt and destruction and parents desperate to comfort their children, replace the toy, or repair it.
Now, for one adorable ginger cat, this situation and relationship is entirely too relatable. Some cats apparently do bond to a favorite toy, and there's nothing sweeter than a relatable cat.
Lucas, a ginger tabby cat, loves his stuffed leopard toy. Whether you find that an unusual preference for a house cat is irrelevant when you see just how attached this kitty is to his beloved toy!
When this adorable cat named Lucas was a kitten, he fell in love with a stuffed leopard--just like many of us did as kids with stuffed animals.
But it is much cuter when it is a cat, rather than a human toddler.
Alana, Lucas' mum, told The Dodo:
“I got the toy from my local zoo, along with a few other stuffed animals. He usually leaves my stuffed animals alone, but he wouldn't leave this one alone.”
“He just would go crazy for this one! I'd find it in all sorts of weird places all covered in cat spit.”
Over time, the toy began to fall apart.
Alana (via The Dodo)Alana'a Grandmother stepped in to help.
Alana continued:
“He's had this toy for probably four years, and it ripped because of wear and tear. My grandma moved in with us last year, and really loves Lucas. [She] saw that his favourite toy was ripped, so she sewed it back together for him.”
Just look how entranced Lucas is!
No pressure!

I guess he wanted to make sure his leopard would come out of surgery okay!
Lucas was delighted that his toy was good as new.
