Lockdown brought out a lot of strange hobbies, but this one is hard to beat: people building cardboard tanks for their cats. What started as boredom and a pile of boxes turned into a full-blown internet trend, with cats getting their own tiny armored vehicles and humans clearly having way too much fun.
The photos below show just how creative people got while stuck at home, from simple box builds to elaborate cat tanks with all the dramatic flair. Some cats look thrilled, others look mildly offended, but every single one seems to have inherited the spotlight.

The British Veterinary Association (BVA) recommends that pet owners keep their cats indoors to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, especially if someone in the household shows symptoms.
