Man Turns To TikTok After His Date Demanded He Pays For To-Go Meals For Her Kids On Their First Date

It's a topic that's often up for debate, and everyone seems to have an opinion about it. Who should pay for dinner on a first date?

Well, Monique Santos recently shared a video on TikTok on this exact topic, and it's rather shocking. You see, a man turned up late for his date, so the woman told him he not only had to pay for her meal but for her kids' meals too!

To be fair, the man had arrived an hour and a half late for what was their first date. Definitely not cool, but he did promise to pay for her dinner and also take her out again to make up for it.

But apparently, that wasn't enough for his lady friend. She decided to order steaks for her kids and put it all on his tab.

"I want you to make sure that my kids eat too," she said. But her date wasn't about to let that slide.

He went to the kitchen and canceled her order. "Don’t put that order in! Them ain’t my kids!" he said.

"Give me my check. Just my check!” the disgruntled date said. As he headed back to the table, the man asked other diners their thoughts on whether he should have to pay for the kids' meals.

But, unfortunately for him, the man didn't quite get the overwhelming support he was hoping for. "What's wrong with that?" one woman asked.

"You were late!" she continued. The man responded with, "Come on y'all. Y'all ain't on my side?"

But it's okay; the people of TikTok came to his defense. Many commenters said it was crazy that the woman expected her date to buy food for her kids.

So, who's wrong here, and who's right? In some ways, we could say they are both wrong - after all, the man was extremely late, and the woman, well, she was very entitled, to say the least.
