In our childhood, we used to count the days before our birthdays, but these days, birthdays tend to sneak up on us. Planning a birthday celebration may seem like a lot of work unless you're celebrating a milestone year and someone is throwing you a party.
To be really honest, there are years when you truly don't want to have a party and don't want to feel pressured into doing so. You just want to take a bath and go to bed early.
Some will just get their friends together and reserve a space, that's if they wish to spend the weekend away. Everybody has a birthday, and we all want it to be especially memorable.
OP's brother was turning 20, and he decided to celebrate it with his friends only. The OP was fine with this until he learned that their brother was going as well.
He was confused and a little hurt, so he asked his brother why their brother was invited, and he wasn't. His brother told him that it was because he was a "little younger" and he just wanted to keep the celebration with his close friends for his milestone.
The OP was okay with it until he got a call saying he was invited. Of course, the OP passed up on the offer, and it hurt his brother's feelings. He asked the OP if he was upset with him, but that wasn't the case.

The OP kicks off his story
Reddit/Personal_Elephant886OP's brother wanted to pick him up after school so he could come along
Reddit/Personal_Elephant886He only invited the OP out of guilt rather than him actually wanting him there
Reddit/Personal_Elephant886OP has offered the following explanation for why they think they might be the AH:
My brother invited me to his birthday party last minute and I told him that I didn't want to go. Me not wanting to go caused both of my brother's and my dad to feel sad. I don't want to go because I feel like he didn't invite me because he wanted to and only invited me out of guilt.
And the comments from other Redditors roll in...

Reddit/Personal_Elephant886A traditional birthday celebration is always a good idea, but if you want to liven it up, there are a lot of interesting and different ways to spend your special day. But when you choose to not invite family and later change your mind, don't be angry if they choose to decline.
Redditors say that you can only be “uninvited“ if you have been invited. So officially, the OP was never invited in the first place, which means he can still gonas no AHs were found in the story.
