Their love story began in Colorado, where they’d initially been cohabiting. They planned to keep up that tradition here in NYC. 

Armed with a new snug city pad, the stark difference in apartment sizes was clear, but this didn’t bother them so much. Their living quarters might have shrunk, but definitely not their commitment. 

Their commitment to each other wasn’t the only thing that made this couple so intriguing; they were also experts at the delicate art of balancing togetherness with individuality.

OP and his girlfriend were very big on personal space. For this couple, ‘me-time’ was non-negotiable. However, in the quest to find the perfect gym, OP might have taken the “me-time” concept a little too far.  

As they meticulously scouted for the perfect fitness sanctuary, OP stumbled upon a gym that seemed tailor-made to his needs. His girlfriend, on the other hand, kept coming up with underwhelming finds.

When she checked out OP’s ‘perfect find’ to see what the fuss was about, her eyes grew wide with excitement —she wanted in!

Things got weird when OP dictated he didn’t want her at ‘his’ gym; their apartment was already too small, and he needed a space solely for himself.

She acknowledged his point and reluctantly let the idea go. But recently, OP felt a pang of guilt while relaying his epic gym adventures to her, especially since she’d also have loved to participate.
