Toddlers are a handful.

Children may be the cutest individuals ever, but they are also the most chaotic ones. One minute, they are having fun, and the next, they throw a tantrum.

With kids, it doesn’t matter how patient you are. They will frustrate you. However, their cute little faces compensate for how frustrating they can be.

Unfortunately, their adorable faces don’t always do the trick. Sometimes, the kid is too frustrating to forget. This is why many parents find it challenging to get free babysitting services.

When they do, however, they take full advantage and enjoy whatever free time they can get with abandon.

One Redditor was enjoying herself on a trip after dropping off her three-year-old daughter, only to return and find out she may lose her friend because of her kid.

OP shared on the r/relationships subreddit that they are separated from their husband and share custody of their three-year-old.

Since OP’s husband is in the military, it’s usually tricky for her to manage to have their child on her own, so when her friend, Tammy, offered to help out anytime, OP jumped at the offer.

OP asked Tammy to watch her daughter for one night while she went on her trip. When OP dropped her daughter off, things were great, but she soon started sensing a change when Tammy reached out the following day to ask OP when she was returning.

OP didn’t take her question too seriously because of Tammy’s usual texting habits. However, she soon found out that she should have.

Unfortunately, OP arrived to pick her daughter up an hour later than expected due to some accidents. When she arrived, Tammy looked exhausted and told her she wasn’t ready for a 3-year-old.

OP dismissed her statement, but when she returned home, OP discovered Tammy had posted on Facebook that she was losing her mind two hours before she had picked up her child.

OP connected the dots and realized Tammy must have posted that because of her daughter. This left her confused, so she asked Redditors for advice.

The commenters believe OP overstretched her friend even though that wasn’t her intention. According to them, OP took advantage of her friend’s kindness and asked for too much from her friend.

They also guessed that OP’s daughter reacted adversely to the change in environment and the separation from her parents and made it hell for Tammy to babysit her.

Thankfully, OP is sending her friend a thank you card, so we hope that smooths things between them.
