Going to college opens the door for so much freedom! You can party, stay out as late and you want and kind of look after yourself.

What it means, however, if that you also have the freedom to do some really dumb and embarrassing stuff. Your mother is likely no longer booking your appointment and acting like your secretary, so it opens the door for you to mess up - A LOT!

For me, my biggest cringe in college was when a professor emailed us to say our assignments were marked and ready to be picked up, and instead of emailing my friends about it, I replied to my professor. It wasn't the worst email, but it was still super embarrassing.
