Aunt Tells Niece That She Can Leave Her House If She's Not Willing To Follow Rules But Everyone Seems To Be On The Niece's Side

We've all had situations where we've lived with another person and had to abide by their rules, but what happens if the rules are a little strict?

Welcome back to another AITA post where we are sitting here discussing a situation where someone added a post to Reddit and is asking for advice on whether or not they are wrong for how they reacted in the situation. We love doing these types of posts because they're actually quite entertaining.

We get to see what people had to say, plus we get to see what happened in the situation and get an idea of what people's opinions are on it all. Ultimately, we want to see exactly what happened, plus take a look at some of the comments that were left on there as well to see what people had to say in response.

At the end of the post, people will usually vote on whether or not they were in the wrong for doing what they did or not and this situation actually surprised us a little bit. That's exactly why we wanted to cover this situation today, though, and see exactly what you all have to say about it.

OP starts off her post with saying that she basically told her niece no socializing at all while she's there since she's there only for school purposes.

She goes on to explain a little bit more about the payment and just what kind of rules they had while she was staying with her.

She said that she made it known that she was only there to do her schoolwork and literally nothing else. It seems that she was extremely serious about this though.

Then she goes into details about the situation that happened and why she ended up being upset at her niece and telling her that she could leave.

OP says that her niece agreed originally and so there shouldn't be any problems about what's acceptable and what isn't.

She says that her husband agrees that her niece should have respected the rules, but also that OP was a bit rough on her.

Then she ends the post with asking if she's wrong and saying that her family members say that she's fine and not wrong.

The first comment stole the cake with this and definitely deemed her as TA in the situation.

Here's the rest of the comment that they left which really didn't have a lot of nice things to say to OP.

This is something that a lot of us were stuck on because it's clearly her husband, not like she was bringing random men over.

As we said, people truly felt like she was pretty foolish for saying that she brought men over when really she just had her husband.

People wanted a bit of clarification because she clearly was a little bit mad over something that didn't seem very necessary to be mad about.

People in the comments were definitely confused as to why she was even mad about this in the first place, especially because it was just her husband. Ultimately everyone deemed her as TA because of how she reacted to her niece's husband.
