US Army Asks 'How Has Serving Impacted YOU?' Receives Negative Bombardment From Haters

Memorial Day is typically a time of gratitude and reflection in America. A day to honour Americans who have served and lost their lives in the fight for freedom in all wars and at home. This Memorial Day, The US Army reached out to veterans and active duty servicemen and women to ask them how service has impacted them and their life.

Unfortunately, a bombardment of replies followed from people who've experienced the negative side of service, either a member of the armed forces or as a family member or friend who someone who served. Criticism rolled in from people defending the military on the most somber of days. Most replies highlighted the plight of returned servicemen and women who are suffering through mental health issues with what many believe to be insufficient support from the military and US healthcare.
