There are a million and one animals out there looking for someone to care for them. These animals have feelings like us and should be treated fairly.
This is where animal welfare comes in. It refers to an animal's overall quality of life and includes how well the animal is adjusting to his or her current situation and environment.
Because so many animals are harmed due to their usage in entertainment, food, medicine, fashion, scientific research, and as exotic pets, animal welfare is crucial. Human interactions with animals have an impact on animal welfare, and it is our responsibility to ensure that all animals are handled properly, humanely, and with respect.
In today's AITA story, we read about a staunch animal lover who happens to be the OP's wife. It was her desire to take care of animals for the rest of her life, and the OP promised to support her.
What started with one horse and three dogs is now five dogs, three horses, four donkeys, a couple of cats, and a bird. The OP couldn't bear the financial burden of catering for all the animals as his wife wanted to add more expensive animals to the ones she already has.
It got to a point when they were out of money, so the OP's wife applies for credit cards and starts racking up the bills. The OP tried talking to his wife about the whole situation but ended up being kicked out.

RedditEvery animal deserves a happy life with all the advantages therein. But then, there’s a fine line between trying to help and becoming part of the problem.
When taking in animals that you can’t afford, especially if an accident occurs, you end up becoming part of the problem and it's just so sad the OP's wife can't see that.
