Here Are 8 Albino Animals That You Just Wouldn't Believe Are Actually Real

Albino animals are some of nature's most awesome creations that really blow our minds when we see them because it's truly unbelievable that they are real. I find it so fascinating when I see these albino types of animals because you can just tell that they are a little different from the rest of the crowd.

Albino animals aren't something that we see every day and most of the time they are kept within human doors whether that be a zoo, or a shelter of some sort just so they are protected. It's a really amazing thing when it comes to how genetics can affect the outcome of an animal's appearance.

Albinism in animals is caused by the same thing it's caused by in humans. There is a difference in the genetic makeup of the animal such as mutations of certain genes which can cause the body to not produce melanin, which is the pigment in our skin, hair, etc.

Ultimately albinism is just a genetic mutation, but we find it to be so fascinating because albino animals look dreamy and different from other "normal looking" animals of their kind.

With all this being said, we wanted to share some of nature's most amazing albino animals. We've gathered photos and information on 8 different albino animals that are too cute, mysterious, and just overall perfect despite their differences.

1. Albino Snake

As if snakes weren't mysterious enough, this albino one steals the cake. This snake is being kept at a snake-watching exhibit in Japan and it is a Japanese Rat Snake.

An albino penguin is a bit of a strange sight because I'd imagine that most of us don't see penguins at all on a regular basis. This little penguin is being kept at the Gdansk Zoo in Poland and it was just 3 months old when this photo was taken.

This albino crocodile is being kept at a tropical aquarium in Paris. You can tell from the photo that it was just a baby and really attracts all the visitors because of its awesome color.

This albino tiger has someone of the same features that the zebra had because you can still see a hint of the striping on its coat. In this photo, you can really see the striping on its tail, but the comparison between the albino and the regular tiger is astonishing.

7. Albino Zebra

This one is super cool because even though it's an albino zebra, you can still see the difference in its stripes. This zebra is one that you might not even notice is a zebra at first because it's missing the dark black stripes, but ultimately this zebra is a majestic animal that I could stare at all day.
