Adorable Cat With Huge Eyes Becomes Mayor Of Hell Town

A rescue cat celebrated for her captivatingly large eyes and charmingly wonky feet is on the verge of making history as she steps into the role of town mayor in the USA, if only for a day.
Jinx is poised to take the reins in the small Michigan town of Hell on Sunday, April 24, marking a remarkable milestone in the town's history with a feline at the helm for the very first time.
Owner Mia recognized Jinx as the perfect candidate for the prestigious position, given her immense popularity on social media platforms. With a staggering 735,000 followers on TikTok and 400,000 on Instagram, Jinx already commands a sizable fanbase.
Their bond formed three years ago when Mia serendipitously stumbled upon the endearing feline in her backyard. Reflecting on the moment, Mia reminisced, "I was supposed to be out much longer, but I heard plaintive meows and discovered her waiting."
"She was incredibly tiny, just about 3 weeks old," Mia recalled.
Shortly after welcoming the adorable feline into her California home, Mia discovered that her new companion had what she described as "birth defects."
"She had these large eyes, and as she continued to grow, they didn't shrink in size. I also noticed her unusually big feet," Mia elaborated.
However, despite these unique features, Mia reassured that Jinx's health remained unaffected. "She doesn't have any specific medical condition, and the vet assures us she's perfectly healthy. These traits are simply part of her being."
"She's not as agile as most cats and can be a bit clumsy. It wasn't until about a year ago that she finally mastered the art of landing on her feet," Mia remarked.
Mia's whimsical notion of her adorable cat ascending to the position of mayor arose after she jokingly mentioned on Twitter her desire for Jinx to run for president.
"I had seen instances of animals holding mayoral positions before, and in a lighthearted moment, I tweeted about wanting Jinx to become mayor," Mia shared. "Someone responded, mentioning Michigan and the opportunity to pay for a day-long mayoral role in Hell."
Securing the role of a one-day mayor in Hell comes with a price tag of nearly £80, applicable to both humans and their furry counterparts.
In exchange for this fee, the temporary mayor receives a suite of perks, including a mayoral proclamation certificate, a souvenir mug and shirt emblazoned with the Hell insignia, and an official certificate of impeachment.
Furthermore, the appointed mayor gains ownership of one square inch of property within the confines of Hell.
