Author Comes Up With Hilarious And Creative Stories About What God Would've Told Animals As They Were Created

Author Charles Peterson created a Twitter account dedicated to bite-sized made up interactions between God and the animals created in our universe. There have now been two subsequent book releases from this popular account, illustrated by Brian Russell.

These stories take place in the “Creation Station”, and in the books God is drawn sitting at a tiny desk with a comically small chair as they meet their newest animal creations. All the animals and cute and wholesomely curious, and the interactions are just as funny as they are cute.

The book series that evolved from these tweets started when Charles Peterson reached out to his Brian Russell to illustrate a tweet of his. The writing and art styles of Peterson and Russell were a match made in heaven, just around the corner from the Creation Station.

Peterson initially expanded his series of “God Creating Animal” tweets into a children’s book, with a story about a snake learning about itself. The book was titled “God Creates a Snake,” and included some other animal facts while being funny the entire time.

Their newest book, “God Creates Penguins,” is only the second installment in what Peterson and Russell aim to be a multi-book series. Russell likens these stories as “Shrek meets Veggie Tales meets Elephant and Piggy. Jokes and puns only parents would understand, right alongside jokes that the kids will get a kick out of.”
