Australia is one of the strangest places you'll ever choose to visit, and it's not because of the searing heat or the many creatures that seem to always want to kill you. 

The language they speak can be confusing, silly, and almost sound like downright nonsense, especially if you live somewhere that uses the same words but in a different way. 

Unless you're from Aussie (or even New Zealand) some of the most commonly used Australian words could have your brain all twisted, so here's a compiled list of just a few words to show you how simple it all really is.

What it means to the world:

A popular brand of kids doll with super unrealistic body proportions

What it means to Aussies:

 Barbeque. Now, don't be mistaken, you might hear Australians say Barbeque as well, but nothing beats a good old barbie.

What it means to Aussies:

What it means to the world: 

Going number 1. Excreting urine from your body.
