When you think about it, the reason really is simple. You are from another country and traveling to another part of the world.

The country you're visiting has traditions that are completely different from yours. Their habits and way of life are not the same as what you're used to.

As long as you're not used to a certain culture, you will indeed find these foreign custom weird. It wouldn't be surprising if you experience culture shock too!
