Vintage photos are fantastic. Each one of them tells a story and takes us back in history.
While looking at these photos, we imagine the circumstances the photo was taken in, and the people on the pictures. Will our grandchildren look at our photos the same way?
Tara Mapes, the owner of the Enchanted Eye Creations, which specializes in fine art photography, composite photography, and digital backgrounds for photographers, is a big fan of vintage photos. So, she and her sister decided to recreate some vintage Halloween photos.
They are frightening but mesmerizing. You just can’t stop looking at them. Try it...

Tara Mapes"All things vintage make my inner child happy. Combine that with some old school vintage Halloween masks and I’m in squealing inner child heaven.
Whenever I see vintage images of children wearing papier-mache masks in the past, that they most certainly made at home, I wonder if they knew how long they’d be terrifying the future.
Every one of them is 100% more terrifying than the top 10 horror movies trending on Netflix. That’s my jam.
So my sister and I decided to make some of our own. Combined with some store-bought masks, I photographed her to recreate some vintage-inspired Halloween horror pics, inspired by smiling kids of the past," Tara says.
