Netflix Has Premiered Unsolved Mysteries Reboot And Viewers Will Get To See Six New Chilling Episodes

Famous paranormal and real crime series will get its reboot on a popular streaming network. Netflix announced that Unsolved Mysteries would be released on July 1.

The original series’ creators Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove are partnering with Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy to redesign the acclaimed and popular classic show. They’ve signed a contract with Netflix for 12 new episodes, and the first six are now available.

As before, each episode will talk about one unsolved mystery, with interviews and reenactments of the intriguing stories.

Lifetime Television

The first show host, and the one who contributed the most to its cult status, was Robert Stack. He hosted the Unsolved Mysteries from 1987 to 2002.

He established the show's signature style: trench coats, sinister narration, fog machines, and scary reenactments. The show investigated alien abductions, true crime, cold cases, conspiracy theories.

Sadly, the show was canceled in 2002, and Stack died in 2003. Spike attempted a show's revival in 2008, and Denis Farina was the host, but it was canceled in 2010.

Well, the word on the street is that the reboot will have no host. We will have to wait until July 1. to find out.

Episode 1: “Mystery on the Rooftop”

A dead body was discovered at the abandoned conference room at a Baltimore Hotel. Her name was Rey Rivera, and her husband disappeared eight days before her body was found. The death was ruled as “unexplained.”

Episode 2: “13 Minutes”

Patrice Endres disappeared in broad daylight in Georgia. Her teenage son and his stepfather are trying to find out what happened in those crucial 13 minutes.

Episode 3: “House of Terror”

In 2011, French Police uncovered the bodies of an entire family hidden under their veranda—except for the family father, Count Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès. As the case unraveled, the criminal architect was revealed..

Episode 4: “No Ride Home”

A man named Alonzo Brooks didn’t come home after a party in a mostly white Midwestern town, and the family and the police presumed the worse. His body was found months later, in a part of the city thoroughly searched by the police.

Episode 5: “Berkshire’s UFO”

On September 1, 1969, people of Berkshire, Massachusetts, say they saw a UFO. They are still fighting hard to convince people that they were not imagining or being dishonest.

Episode 6: “Missing Witness”

A 17-year-old Lena Chapin confessed to aiding her mom to dispose of her stepfather’s dead body. Years later, when summoned to testify in court against her mom, Lena never showed up. She was never seen again.

As before, Unsolved Mysteries will invite their viewers to share any information they might have about these cases.
