The best tattoo is ultimately the one you won't regret getting. But as it turns out, you can't always control everything.
Reddit user TattoodNoobAITA vented their frustration with other users of the AITA subreddit over a bad experience they had at their neighborhood tattoo parlor. According to the OP, the tattoo was one the dad had gotten to honor their late grandfather, whose father also had it.
"It was important to me that the tattoo looked EXACTLY as it did in the photo," the OP stated. But when they realized the tattoo artist had gone rogue, they decided to change the design on their own without bothering to inform their customer first.
As you may imagine, this infuriated the OP. The OP was not in the wrong in this circumstance, according to the AITA subreddit's moral philosophers, who reached this conclusion swiftly.
Within a few days, the thread had collected more than 40K upvotes and over 3K comments from angry redditors, demanding an explanation and even urging the OP to file a lawsuit. Some people expressed their displeasure with the artist's actions, claiming they lacked the authority to sign their creations because their canvas was a living entity.
Even more, commenters questioned why the artist would covertly add initials to a work that wasn't even theirs. Keep scrolling down to read the complete story.
