Everybody goes to the gym wearing the most casual pieces of clothing. Either athletic wear or simply a t-shirt and pants. Dress codes rarely pop into our heads when we think about going to the gym, so we often choose to wear something comfortable and practical. However, there are a couple of hygienic tips that are recommended.
It is actually much better not to wear revealing clothes at the gym in order to prevent germs originating from sweat to spread via the equipment. A lot of people don't realize that germs can multiply excessively when they are hot and keeping basic personal hygiene may mean wearing clothes that cover you a little bit more than your usual attire.

The incident made her so furious that she raced to Facebook in order to share her story with people

No need to make a big deal about it.
The rules apply to everyone, regardless of their gender.
Fair point.
