When model and social media personality Sofia Richie Grainge discovered the gender of her baby, she was understandably overjoyed. Sofia and her record executive husband Elliot Grainge shared a video of the big reveal on TikTok, announcing they are expecting a baby girl.

In the caption, Sofia apologized to all her neighbors for the "horrifying scream" she let out when her husband popped a confetti cannon that exploded with pink powder. Richie Grainge can be seen falling to her knees before getting up and running into her husband's arms after the exciting reveal.

"I’m so excited,” she said. The couple started dating in early 2021 before tying the knot in April 2023.

The newlyweds first announced Sofia's pregnancy on January 25th. "I found out very, very early,” Richie Grainge said.

She was on a trip to Milan for fashion week when she began feeling unwell, but at the time, she put it down to jet lag. "I was about four weeks pregnant," Sofia said.

The model is now six months pregnant and says she'll be having a "Gemini baby," although she doesn't have an exact due date. But Sofia intends to keep her pregnancy as private as possible.

"Pregnancy is really scary, and you want to protect that space,” she said. "I didn’t realize there are so many milestones you have to hit and so many tests you have to take."

Richie Grange is the daughter of legendary singer and songwriter Lionel Richie. Their famous family also includes reality TV personality and fashion designer Nicole Richie.

Sources say Sofia's family is overjoyed about the baby, saying, "Lionel is absolutely thrilled for Sofia and Elliot." "He was ecstatic when they told him and the family that they were expecting their first child," the source said.

Sofia is glowing in her second trimester, but the fashionista says she won't be buying maternity clothes anytime soon. "I'm not really tapping into maternity wear at all; if anything, I'm just sizing up," she said.

"I've bought a few pairs of pants in bigger sizes, but I'm wearing my same jackets, and sweaters, and trenches," the model continued. This baby will be Sofia and Elliot's first child.
