This one-of-a-kind super fancy swimming pool was supposed to be opened in the summer of 2020 in London but got delayed because, well, because of the 2020 and its challenges.
It will be opened, though, just a tad later than it was initially planned. The exact date is not yet confirmed, but the rumor has it that people will be able to visit it the next spring.
This imposing 25-meter long pool is built between two buildings and hangs 35 meters (115 feet) above the pavement. They are located in Embassy Gardens, a new residential district in Nine Elms, Vauxhall.
The last construction work touches are almost done, and the construction company hopes it will be open to the public in a few months’ time.

Embassy GardensThe pool will be filled with 148,000 liters of water. It’s made from acrylic and is 25 meters long. Swimmers in this extravagant pool will enjoy a view of central London while hovering between two apartment buildings, ten floors high.
The construction work is now being finished off
Embassy GardensSadly, we ordinary folks won’t be permitted to get in unless we buy an apartment at Embassy Gardens and become members of the exclusive “Eg:le Club.” The smallest apartment costs around $730k, and the penthouse suite is just $6 million.
“The much-anticipated SKY POOL has been lifted into place at Embassy Gardens today, by one of the largest mobile cranes in the world. The crane has a load capacity of 750 tons,” Embassy Gardens shared on their Instagram account back in late September.
“The acrylic structure has undergone rigorous hydrostatic testing: safety factors 20 times more extensive than what would be carried out on a typical pedestrian or road bridge structure.”

Embassy Gardens“My vision for the Sky Pool stemmed from a desire to push the boundaries in the capability of construction and engineering,” Ballymore Group CEO Sean Mulryan told the reporters 5 years ago.
“I wanted to do something that had never been done before. The Sky Pool’s transparent structure is the result of significant advancements in technologies over the last decade. The experience of the pool will be truly unique; it will feel like floating through the air in central London.”
It will be filled with 148,000 liters (40,000 gallons) of water
Embassy Gardens“As well as the Sky Pool, additional residential amenities on offer at Embassy Gardens include an indoor pool, gym, residents’ lounge, co-working spaces and meeting rooms, and spa facilities,” Embassy Gardens’ Instagram page reads.
