We are no strangers to the awe-inspiring idea of rescuing and adopting animals in need. We have seen how lives across the world can be inspired and transformed by the uphill climb of even a single animal (remember Lil Bub?)
What first caught my eye about Bulldogs and Bunnies on Instagram were floppy tongues, vibrant pictures, and hilarious videos of joyful pups living their best lives. When I reached out to them for an interview, I knew just how wonderful it would be to share this family with everyone.
This home, with two positively precious bulldogs named Lucy and Boston, and two adorable bunnies named Coco Chanel and Jon Snow, are precisely the sort of family that makes the Internet worthwhile.
Lucy

bulldog_and_bunniesLucy is 2 years old and Boston is 1 year old.
bulldog_and_bunniesThis adorable dynamic duo has two pretty incredible back stories.
bulldog_and_bunniesTheir mum told us each story individually, so we are going to share them one at a time, too!
bulldog_and_bunniesLucy's Story
We got her when she was 4 months old. The breeder said ‘if she’s too much to handle bring her back...'
bulldog_and_bunnies...well she was an absolute lunatic.
bulldog_and_bunniesShe continued:
A bitey little mile a minute monster. Too smart for her own good and incredibly naughty, we feel that she may have been too much for someone else and that’s why we got her at such a late age.
And finished with the best part:
Thank god we did because although hard work it’s her cheekiness and had to the bone attitude that we all love today.
bulldog_and_bunniesBoston's Story
We’ve just adopted Boston into our family. He was rescued from a rural pound with severe cherry eye, extremely neglected, thin and terrified of everything.
bulldog_and_bunniesShe continued:
He came to us completely broken. Watching him develop his little personality and gain confidence has been fantastic.
bulldog_and_bunniesAnd Lucy really made a difference in Boston's recovery:
His big sister has made sure of that. She was so wonderful to him when he arrived. She happily shared everything she had with him, her bed, her food, her toys and her humans.
bulldog_and_bunniesSeeing the way she accepted him made me love her even more. She is a beautiful sweet little girl who just happens to be very cute and just as naughty
bulldog_and_bunniesAnd of course we could not forget the bunnies!
Our bunnies are Coco and Jon Snow. The rescue named him that. This was before I had watched GOT so I thought it was a little old mans name and thought it suited him and kept it. It wasn’t until social media and people were telling me what it meant.
Ended up a big GOT fan after that btw
giphyAfter all these sweeties have experienced in their time so far, it's also fun to talk about their bursting and bubbling personalities. Especially the wild Lucy:
She is famous for stealing things, there is nothing she loves more than the thrill of the chase and her knowing she something you want so she will take the most random of objects and run off with it so that you will chase her.
She added:
It has led to some embarrassment when we’ve had a worker here and she’s ran off with his tool bag or with the gardener she will take his gloves and we are all chasing her around trying to get them back and she is just thrilled with herself.
Conveniently, she has the sort of face you simply cannot stay mad at.
