The universe, they say, always gives us what we deserve, and it has quite a mischievous sense of humor. This fact was glaring in the case of one unsuspecting individual who unknowingly turned the tables on their father's teasing antics.

The result was a hilarious and memorable moment that left everyone involved in stitches—except the father, of course. Our narrator’s (Original Poster’s) dad believed he was quite the prankster, and their dog, Ginger, was always the butt of his jokes.

Don’t get it wrong, it was all harmful pranks, but they succeeded in getting poor Ginger worked up. Some of his infamous antics included repeatedly ringing the doorbell and making annoying cat sounds at the dog.

But one fateful family dinner, his teasing came full circle in a most unexpected way. It was a chilly evening, so when OP’s dad decided to see his visiting brother off, they chose to stay inside.
