A dog usually implies a goofy, mischievous pet, always wanting to play. Chihuahua or a Great Dane, they are the same in that way. It is no wonder they are the most favorite pets.

Because of that cute side of theirs, we usually forget that they are great workers. They help so many people. This is an understatement - they don’t only help but are crucial to many jobs and duties.

Specially trained dogs perform various tasks. Service dogs help people with mental and physical disabilities; sheep dogs help on farms. Police dogs, also known as K9, find drugs and explosives. Police dogs are often seen as intimidating because their job is crime-fighting, and they need to be tough to do that.

Well, you would be surprised how quickly they can turn into a goofy, playful pet when they are not on alert. Those moments are especially dear to their handlers and them.

One woman spotted one of those moments and thankfully captured them so we could all see how precious and adorable they are.

What caught her eye wasn’t so much the fact that the two were taking selfies, but that the police officer was showing each photo to the dog after taking it, like he was asking him if he likes it. Gina Anzaldua Stevenson shared these adorable photos on Facebook’s “Dogspotting Society” group, where it collected 60k likes and 47k shares.

As the post became viral and people’s reactions flooded the comment section, it didn’t take very long for the police officer in question to notice it. And, he responded in the best possible way - Andre Cloyd shared the selfies he took with his dog, Zigi. This young man works as a policeman in Dallas, Texas, and he made a couple of adorable pics with his K9 colleague while they were on a break.

The policeman then countered by sharing the selfies.
