Accident or not?

Pizza Place Accidentally Sends Customers NSFW Mailers Featuring Barry Wood’s Famous Photo

We all make mistakes, right? And the more we work, the more we are likely to make a mistake.

Chiaro's Pizza in Skippack, PA, planned to run a lovely Valentine's Day campaign. That is very sweet.

But they kind of went too far. Untintelonaly (or maybe not?) they've sent out some mailers with a very racy mistake, which caused a major problem with the eatery.

On the mailer, we can see a lovely lava cake and a nice cup of cappuccino with foam and everything. But if you look more closely, you can see a watermark photo of Barry Wood, which became incredibly popular and was featured in many memes.

This blooper became viral in a second, and the internet is flooded with posts about this unfortunate mistake. But It kind of makes us wonder it was a mistake after all.

There is no way that a simple mailer from a pizza place would get this kind of exposure. So, maybe the creators figured that this was an amusing way to increase reach.

Well, if it was intentional, it was a genius move because now everyone and their sister are sharing this post. Take a look for yourself, and you will see what are we talking about:

Poor Chiaro’s was totally rolled over. They quickly posted an apology on their Facebook:

“Dear Community,
We have been made aware of the situation regarding a recent ad, and unfortunately, neither us, or the Community Connections’ proof readers caught the subtle nature of what we thought was a tasteful photo of a cappuccino. We deeply apologize for letting this slip by.
None of our proof readers, The Community Connection proof readers, or the actual printer proofers caught the mistake before it was printed and circulated. We are working on making sure this does not happen again.
We at Chiaro’s pride ourselves on being a family oriented pizzeria and restaurant. This is a devastating situation for all of us involved as we are sure it has been for all of you.
Please accept our sincerest apologies.”

Images of Mr. Wood, who is extraordinarily well-endowed, sitting on his bed have gone viral throughout the world and have swiftly become part of the cultural lexicon. But who is this enigmatic figure?

The man's name was Wardy G. Joubert III, and he sadly passed away in 2016. He was a loving, church-going family man.

The dedicated community member would hold fundraisers and help those in need, often giving his last dollar to those less fortunate than him. He only did the shoot after falling into financial hardship.

And while it might sound crazy, a decade after that photo was first published, his real legacy is only just beginning. He is now an internet legend.

It is so sad that he became a legend because of his natural attributes and not because of his gold heart.
