It's the age old story. All the kids want a dog, they talk about it for months, maybe years. The answer is always no. Then comes Christmas and they finally convince their mother. The entire family wants a dog and the yes or no answer hinges on approval from Dad. An approval that generally never comes. Eventually, he bites the bullet.
