"We just want to spend the holiday with each, at home with no worries of traveling or pet sitters"

Holiday visits to relatives can be a fantastic way to share cherished customs and catch up with distant family members. However, you might be concerned about sleeping in small spaces, fitting everyone in for a quality time, and maintaining your sanity in the presence of everyone.
During this hectic time of year, traveling with children may be stressful as well. But still, people make sure that their vacation is as enjoyable and pleasant as possible.
The holiday of the holidays is Christmas. And yes, it can be very stressful to try to have the perfect Christmas but the OP in today's story managed to conquer that somehow as she and her family visit her parents for Christmas every year.
The OP visited them last year for Christmas, and they had to book an Airbnb as her parents' place (a cute little 4/2 apartment) was full. Two of the rooms are converted into office spaces for the OP's parents, and only one guest bed remains, leaving an air mattress for whoever else stays.
And on top of that, there were some plumbing issues. However, this year the OP and her husband are going on a big trip to NYC, so they wouldn't be visiting her parents.
This was a big issue for the OP, as she had a clue as to what could happen if she didn't go. Keep scrolling to read the thread in full.
