It's not difficult to create drama in a family. All it takes is one little disagreement and world war three can erupt!

But we all know there are three things that are especially predisposed to creating family rifts. Weddings, funerals, and the arrival of a new baby.

Recently, one new father shared his story on the r/AITA subreddit, after his wife gave birth to their son in November of 2019. For those unfamiliar with the subreddit, AITA stands for 'Am I The Asshole?'

The man explained that his wife had quite a traumatic birth. "She had a very complicated pregnancy and ended up needing an emergency c-section which we were aware could happen," he said.

His wife had confided in her husband that she hated the thought that she would end up being the last person to hold their son. So, like any great husband, the man made sure that wouldn't happen.

The man refused to let any other family members hold the baby until his wife was well enough to hold him herself. Well, the man's mother and sister were not impressed with the rule, and that's where the family feud began.
