Man Ends Up With Unusual Pet After Saving A Bear Cub In Dire Need

This situation turned into something totally different as this man ends up with a bear as a pet.

Usually, people see dogs, cats, fish, turtles, and even snakes as pets in people's homes, but I don't think many of us know anyone who has a bear as a pet. Well, this is the new normal for Nikolay, a man who ends up caring for a bear cub.

Nikolay is a farmer who ended up saving this little bear's life after it was found malnourished. Not many of us would be as brave as him to do what he did just because of the unfamiliarity with having bears as pets, but clearly, he knew what he was doing.

You don't hear stories like this every day so we thought we'd share some light on this story and give some insight into what happens with this little bear in hopes of following the journey with them. It seems that many are supportive of the situation, so that makes things even more bizarre but also really cool.

This little bear is too cute.

This baby bear wandered into a village looking very sick and malnourished. Nikolay, who is a farmer in the village, came to the rescue and took the bear cub in.

He wanted to look after it and nurse it back to health after he saw the state of the baby bear cub.

I don't think I could pass up the opportunity to take this little bear home either.

When it came to figuring out what to do with this little bear cub, he was considering every option he had that wouldn't endanger the animal. However, the problem was that the bear cub was very young, so the bear wouldn't be able to survive alone in the wild or be able to be accepted into the zoo.

This led Nikolay into having quite an odd pet.

The bear looks super happy by the way it looks in the photos.

The bear was doing great as it found shelter, comfort, food, and water within Nikolay's farm.

The little claws are my favorite. This is so cute.

As we said, Nikolay exhausted all his options when it came to figuring out what to do with the baby bear. At first, Nikolay called the relevant authorities to get advice on what to do in his situation.

Since this situation was with an animal not normally suggested as pets, the authorities suggested that he let the bear back into the wild, or put it to sleep.

He's a really good man for this.

Nikolay couldn't bring himself to do either of those options because both would harm the baby cub.

I think that Nikolay is a great owner for the bear.

Nikolay and some others searched for the bear cubs mother, with no success.

It's awesome that the village was for it.

Eventually, the village just issues a passport that allowed the bear to live there and they also names it Vasilisa.

I want to follow their journey.

Nikolay plans to build a huge enclosure for Vasilisa to grow up in so he can check up on the cub regularly.

I mean just look how cute they look together.

This story is really one that I didn't think I'd hear, but it's really cool how the village was for it and let the bear cub live there. This is a very heartwarming story that I want to be able to follow along as the bear continues to grow up.
