We all have dreams in life, and sadly, not everyone is necessarily supportive of them or our ability to achieve them. Just ask mega-star Lady Gaga!
The award-winning singer, songwriter, and actress recently shared an old post from a hateful Facebook page created by some of her old college classmates. The page titled "Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous" has since been deleted, but amusingly, Gaga got to have the last laugh.
"This is why you can't give up when people doubt you or put you down," the star wrote under a TikTok about the hostile page. It was started by a group of Gaga's New York University classmates many years ago, mocking her dreams of becoming a star.
Of course, Lady Gaga proved them all wrong by becoming one of the biggest and most successful stars on the planet, winning 13 Grammys, two Golden Globes, and having been nominated for an Academy Award, among other impressive accomplishments. The superstar withdrew from NYU in 2005 to pursue her career in entertainment.
"Some people I went to college with made this way back when," Gaga commented on the post. "This is why you can't give up when people doubt you or put you down - you gotta keep going."
