Police Officer Rescues A Kitten, And Now It Is Her Faithful Sidekick

Police officers encounter all kinds of situations during their shifts, but some of them are different than others. When officer J.N. Rowsey from the North Carolina’s Durham Police Department headed to work earlier this week, she didn’t expect one of those situations.

She was on a routine patrol through a neighborhood with her partner when they spotted a tiny kitten, all alone and scared. Their pledge to protect and serve extends to all creatures, and they decided to help the poor animal.

“They searched the neighborhood in an attempt to find the kitten’s owner or its mother,” the Durham Police Department wrote. “But they had no luck.”

It soon became clear that the kitten was a stray. But that would quickly change. The tiny cat and officer Rowsey quickly bonded, and it chose her for her new mom. And Rowsey just couldn’t refuse…Officer Rowsey now had the world's sweetest sidekick.

This is the best proof of how a simple action can create lifelong friendships. "The lucky kitten found a new home with one of the officers," the police department wrote on their account. "She quickly made herself comfortable and appears very happy to have found a new home with Officer Rowsey."
