This grandma is nothing short of an icon!
Anyone with a little daring and an interest in connecting with spirits has long been fascinated by the ouija board. The eerie game is frequently played at gatherings as a lighthearted diversion, but a Texas grandmother has gained notoriety for her creative gift to the attendants of her burial.
During her funeral, Jodie Marie Perryman, who passed away at the age of 81, gave her loved ones one last gift. On October 12, Jodie crossed the rainbow bridge from cancer after refusing treatment.
She began to feel worse by the end of the summer and decided that it was unsafe to continue the treatment. Her 20-year-old granddaughter Gracie Perryman tweeted a picture of the card with the caption, "Received this at my grandma's funeral."
This grandma is truly an icon! "She was hilarious," Gracie remarked.
Gracie went further to add that she cared for those close to her and adored her family. In fact, she was a wonderful person.
"Everyone was dying, laughing," Gracie added. "It was hilarious because that was so her."
Later, according to Perryman, she and her roommates attempted to use the Ouija board but quickly concluded that it was ineffective. She laughed and replied, "It's just paper."
In their own words, "we tried but to no avail."
People loved the grandma and her wonderful sense of humor. They rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts about the icon.
